CALIFORNIA AVENUE AND KEYSTONE AVENUE INTERSECTION ENHANCEMENT

The road is open with no controls.  Signal work that remains will occur later this year and may require traffic control for a short period of time.

 

 

NORTH VALLEYS 3 INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

  • New traffic signal at the intersection of N Virginia Street and Lemmon Drive.
  • Construction is on hold until signal equipment arrives mid-November.

 

 

RENO CONSOLIDATED 19-01 – SUTRO STREET, LAKE STREET, FIRST STREET AND STATE STREET

Construction closures and detours for the project will continue the week of September 30. The project is expected to be complete by November.
Lake Street will be closed to through traffic from Mill Street to the Truckee River bridge.  Northbound traffic will be detoured at Mill Street to Wells Avenue to Kuenzli Street.
1st Street open to westbound traffic only from Center Street to Lake Street.  Businesses within the construction zone will be provided southbound access at 2nd Street to westbound 1st Street.
Constuction on Sutro Street from McCarran to the northern terminus is underway.  Two-way traffic will be provided and flaggers will assist motorisits through the construction zone.
All detours will be marked.
This project is part of a larger project called Reno Consolidated 19-01, which will reconstruct and rehabilitate select Reno roadways identified for improvement or maintenance.

 

 

RENO CONSOLIDATED 19-02 PROJECT – NORTH HILLS BOULEVARD FROM GOLDEN VALLEY ROAD TO BUCK DRIVE AND THE INTERSECTION OF HUNTER LAKE DRIVE AT FOSTER DRIVE

North Hills Blvd:

  • Demolition, sidewalk and drainage work with one lane closure.
  • Two-way traffic maintained at all times.
  • Please share the road with bicyclists.
  • Between Golden Valley Rd and Beckwourth Dr:
    • Traffic is shifted using the center turn lane as a travel lane.
  • Between Beckwourth Dr and Buck Dr:
    • One lane-two way traffic with flaggers.
    • TBA – Northbound lane closure, only southbound traffic allowed.

Hunter Lake/Foster Dr:

  • Demolition, sidewalk and drainage work with one lane closure at intersection.
  • Two-way traffic maintained at all times.

 

 

RENO CONSOLIDATED 19-03 PROJECT – SIERRA HIGHLANDS DRIVE, COLBERT DRIVE, HAMMILL LANE, RALSTON STREET, AND OHM PLACE

Ralston St:

  • Between University Terrace and 11th St:
    • Striping Crews will be out the week of September 30th.  Traffic controls are in place along Ralston St.
  • Parking is prohibited within the Ralston St construction zones 7 am – 7 pm, Monday through Friday 8/5 thru 10/1.
  • During construction, access for trash pickup is provided on Tuesdays – place Green Waste cans out for pickup.  For street parking use nearby side streets; please adhere to the “no parking” restrictions.

Ohm Place:

  • Construction is in progress.
  • Full closure of Ohm Place is in effect through the beginning of October. Traffic controls will be in place with business detours for NV Energy offices.

Sierra Highlands:

  • Construction will begin the week of September 30 thru the end of October.  Traffic control will be in place on Sierra Highlands.

 

 

SPARKS CONSOLIDATED 19-01 – 15TH STREET, FRANKLIN WAY, HULDA COURT, AND EL RANCHO DRIVE

Starting September 30, 2019, at 7:00 a.m. through Saturday October 5, 2019:
Drivers can expect the following road and lane closures. All detours will be marked.

Franklin Way Greg Street to Spice Island Drive:

  • Street will be closed to northbound traffic from Greg Street to Spice Island Drive while utilites are raised.  Nouthbound traffic will be detoured at Spice Island Drive to Purina Way to Greg Street.

 

 

VIRGINIA STREET BUS RAPID TRANSIT EXTENSION

Construction is occurring within the Midtown areas.

  • Construction is occurring between Plumb Ln and Mary St/Center St:
    • Traffic will be reduced to southbound only, northbound traffic will be detoured at Regency Wy to Center St.
  • The following side streets are also under construction and closed to through traffic, local access is provided:
    • Cheney St- between Virginia St and Center St
    • Caliente St – between Virginia St and Haskell St
