2022 CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE – ROCK BOULEVARD FROM MCCARRAN TO THE TRUCKEE RIVER BRIDGE

The contractor will begin mill and fill operations on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, working from the Truckee River bridge.  Traffic will be reduced to one lane each direction.  Expect delays.

ODDIE/WELLS PROJECT – PYRAMID WAY (SPARKS) TO I-80 WESTBOUND RAMPS (RENO)

Phase 1: Pyramid Way to Sullivan Lane (Sparks):

  • Drivers may see daily intermittent shoulder and lane closures on Oddie Boulevard during daytime working hours.
  • Pyramid Way: intermittent lane closures between 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Paving Operations are ongoing until Friday, September 16, 2022.
    • Rock Boulevard Intersection (north side) closure with detour
    • 12th Street Intersection (north side) closure with detour
    • Sullivan Lane: lane closures during construction hours

One lane in each direction will be maintained along Oddie Boulevard.

PECKHAM LANE REHABILITATION

Roadway Rehabilitation of Peckham Lane between South Virginia Street and Baker Lane have begun and will continue till Mid-October 2022. Detours will be in place around the vicinity of the project.

 

RENO CONSOLIDATED 20-01 – MAYBERRY DRIVE, CALIFORNIA AVENUE, FIRST STREET

California Avenue – westbound traffic will be closed on California Avenue at Booth Street beginning on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, for roadway reconstruction. The detour is anticipated to be in effect for approximately six weeks. Westbound traffic will be detoured at Booth Street to Foster Drive to Hunter Lake Drive to Mayberry Drive to California Avenue. Eastbound traffic will not be affected.

California Avenue is closed to through traffic.  Local traffic may access properties along California Avenue and Westfield Avenue from Hunter Lake Drive.

 

RENO CONSOLIDATED 22-01 – SKY MOUNTAIN DRIVE, SKY VALLEY DRIVE

SKY VISTA WIDENING AND REHABILITATION

Construction Sky Vista project will begin August 15, 2022.  Lane and shoulder closures will be in place.

 

SPARKS BOULEVARD IMPROVEMENT – SOUTH PHASE

Granite Construction Company is working in both the southbound and northbound lanes as well as outside shoulders along Sparks Boulevard between Lincoln Way and Greg Street nightly lane closures will reduce traffic to one lane in the southbound direction between Lincoln Way and Greg Street and in the northbound direction between Greg Street and I80 eastbound off-ramp. Daytime single lane closures will also be in place on Sparks Boulevard in the southbound direction between Kleppe Lane and Greg Street from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Upcoming marathon shift work:
Weekend Closure 1: Friday, September 9, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. through Monday, September 12, 2022, at 6:00 a.m.

Sparks Boulevard will be closed in the southbound direction from Lincoln Way to the I-80 eastbound off-ramp. All northbound traffic will remain open. Traffic will be detoured to and from Sparks Boulevard through Lincoln Way to Lillard Drive/Brierley Way to Vista Boulevard.

Weekend Closure 2: Friday, September 16, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. through Monday, September 19, 2022, at 6:00 a.m. Sparks Boulevard will be closed in the southbound direction from Lincoln Way to Greg Street and northbound from Greg Street to the I-80 westbound off-ramp. All on-ramps and off-ramps at Sparks Boulevard Interchange (with the exception of the I80 eastbound off-ramp right turn) will be closed and traffic will be detoured to Vista Boulevard.

Drivers should expect delays during the morning commute, look for signs and traffic control devices; please drive with caution.

 

TE SPOT 10 – SOUTH

Construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of 4th Street and Woodland Avenue is delayed until September 12, 2022.  Lane closures and detours will be in place.  The first phase of this project will be relocation of overhead utilities to underground with the roundabout construction starting Spring 2023.
