GREG STREET REHABILITATION

Construction is in progress on Greg Street between McCarran Boulevard and the railroad tracks. The reconstruction is expected to be completed by early September 2020.

Traffic is reduced to one-lane in each direction between McCarran Boulevard and railroad tracks. Two-way traffic will continue within the construction zone

KUENZLI STREET PROJECT

Construction begins September 14, 2020.  Expect lane reductions and detours along Kuenzli Street, Giroux Street, and Kirman Avenue.  More details to follow next week.

 

LAKESIDE DRIVE REHABILITATION

Construction is in progress on Lakeside Drive between Evans Creek Drive and McCarran Boulevard.
Traffic controls are in place along the project. Traffic is reduced to one-lane in each direction with some flagger controls, minor delays expected.

Please use caution in construction zones for the safety of the public and the construction workers.

 

PARK LANE RAPID STATION PROJECT

Construction is in progress on the RAPID Station on Virginia Street eastside just south of Plumb Lane. Traffic controls are in place along Northbound Virginia Street with lane shifts.

Please use caution in the construction zone.

 

E PRATER WAY REHABILITATION

Construction is in progress on E Prater Way between McCarran Boulevard and Sparks Boulevard. The project is expected to take about six months to complete.

Two-way traffic will continue within the construction zone, with one lane in each direction.

The RTC appreciates the community’s patience during the construction process.

 

SUN VALLEY BOULEVARD MULTI-MODAL IMPROVEMENTS – PHASE 1: 7TH AVENUE TO HIGHLAND RANCH PARKWAY

Construction in progress: ADA Ramps, Curb & Gutter, Sidewalk and Drainage improvements.

  • Starting Monday 9/28:
    • Intermittent shoulder closures at various intersections.  One lane closures with two-way traffic maintained. Expect LONGER than usual delays.
  • Sun Valley Boulevard:
    • One lane closure from Quartz Lane to Leon Drive.
    • One lane closure from 7th Avenue to Staci Drive.
  • 7th Avenue intersection:
    • Intermittent shoulder and lane closure with detours.
    • Between Sidehill Drive and Sun Valley Boulevard:
      • Monday and Tuesday 9/14 – 9/15: road closure during working hours only.  Detours in place.  Road open overnight.
      • Wednesday thru Friday 9/16 – 9/18: intermittent one-lane closure with flaggers.

 

VIRGINIA STREET BUS RAPID TRANSIT EXTENSION

South Virginia Street:

  • Plumb Lane to Liberty Street: two-way traffic with isolated shoulder and street parking closures to install project appurtenances.
  • Center Street at Cheney Street: closed to buses and large trucks through the end of the month to allow for concrete curing.  The street is open but reduced to one lane for through traffic.  Detours will be in place.

North Virginia Street:

  • Maple Street to 8th Street: North Virginia Street (Bridge over I-80) is closed.
    • Detours are in place. Southbound detour is to Sierra Street, northbound detour is to Center Street.
  • 8th Street to 9th Street: traffic is reduced to southbound direction only.
    • Northbound traffic is detoured to Sierra Street.
  • 9th Street to 15th Street: traffic is reduced to one-lane in each direction.  Some on-street parking is closed.
  • 15th Street to Sierra Street/Comstock Drive Intersection: traffic is reduced to one-way northbound direction only.
    • Southbound traffic in this area is detoured at Sierra Street and utilizes 15th Street back to North Virginia Street.  This closure is anticipated to be in place until the project is completed this fall.
  • 8th Street: northern shoulder is closed between the I-80 off ramp and North Virginia Street.
