BUS STOP IMPROVEMENT AND CONNECTIVITY PROGRAM (ICP) PHASE 2

Construction is in progress at the following locations:

  • Meredeth Way & Kleppe Lane
  • 7th Street and Keystone Avenue (Near Raleys)
  • 7th Street and Genoa Avenue
  • Lakeside Drive & Brinkby Avenue
  • Sky Valley Drive & Mistyridge Lane
  • Neil Road and Moana Lane
  • South Virginia Street and Meadowwood Mall
  • Double Diamond & Sandhill Road (DMV)

Work will include roadside construction of bus stop pads and sidewalk.   Temporary bus stops are available for bus riders during construction. Drivers should expect isolated shoulder closures and lane shifts.

 

GOLDEN VALLEY ROAD REHABILITATION PROJECT – YORKSHIRE DRIVE TO NORTH VIRGINIA STREET

Construction continues on Golden Valley Road between North Virginia Street and Yorkshire Drive.

Travelers should expect isolated shoulder closures and one-way flagging while construction crews complete sidewalk and utility work.

 

ITS PHASE 3 PROJECT

Construction is in progress at the following locations:

  • Rock Boulevard between Prater Way and Glendale Avenue (Night Work)
  • Lake Street from First Street to Second Street.

 

NEWPORT LANE
RTC Project Manager, Roy Flores, P.E. – (775) 335-1881

Construction is in progress along the southside of Newport Lane.

Travelers should expect isolated lane closures and one-way flagging while construction crews complete demolition, driveway, and sidewalk work.

Additionally, in order to complete the removal/replacement of the exisiting pedestrian ramps and install new storm drain along the southside of Newport Lane, access to Newport Lane from La France Lane and Collins Circle  will be closed during the day while construction activies are ongoing.

To maintain resident access, a detour will be provided via Sagehen Lane and Newport Lane for the duration of the side street road closure.

 

TE SPOT 10 – NORTH

Construction is in progress at the intersection of Battle Born Way-El Rancho Drive at Victorian Avenue.

  • Expect intermittent lane closes around the intersection as construction progresses. Construction is expected to be completed in Mid-October.

 

KINGS ROW REHABILITATION PROJECT – KEYSTONE AVENUE TO WYOMING AVENUE

Roadway and sidewalk rehabilitation work in progress.

  • Traffic control includes transition to temporary lanes along the south side of Kings Row.

 

  • On-street parking is closed on Kings Row – residents are encouraged to park in driveways or along side streets.
    • On-street parking will NOT be allowed in the work zone during non-working hours (5 p.m. through 7 a.m.). Vehicles parked in the work zone will be towed.
  • Look for sidewalk closures and pedestrian detours within the work zone.

 

LEMMON DRIVE SEGMENT 1 PROJECT – US 395 TO MILITARY ROAD

 Q&D continues work on the new retaining wall near Walgreens.

  • Drivers may see shoulder and lane closures on Lemmon Drive from Sky Vista Parkway/Buck Drive to just east of the Walgreens driveway during daytime working hours.
  • Access to Walgreens driveway and the access road from Lemmon Drive will be closed for approximately four months.  Please use Sky Vista Parkway to access Walgreens.

This week drivers can expect to see additional traffic control including orange barrels on the outside lanes of Lemmon Drive from Sky Vista Parkway/Buck Drive to Military Road as crews prepare for roadway widening.
