CALIFORNIA AVENUE AND KEYSTONE AVENUE INTERSECTION ENHANCEMENT

The road is open with no controls.  Signal work that remains will occur later this year and may require traffic control for a short period of time.

 

NORTH VALLEYS 3 INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

  • New traffic signal at the intersection of N Virginia Street and Lemmon Drive.
  • Construction is on hold until signal equipment arrives mid-November.

 

RENO CONSOLIDATED 19-01 – SUTRO STREET, LAKE STREET, FIRST STREET AND STATE STREET

Construction closures and detours for the project will continue the week of October 7th. The project is expected to be complete by November.

Constuction on Sutro Street from McCarran to the northern terminus is underway.  Two-way traffic will be provided and flaggers will assist motorisits through the construction zone.
All detours will be marked.
This project is part of a larger project called Reno Consolidated 19-01, which will reconstruct and rehabilitate select Reno roadways identified for improvement or maintenance.

 

RENO CONSOLIDATED 19-02 PROJECT – NORTH HILLS BOULEVARD FROM GOLDEN VALLEY ROAD TO BUCK DRIVE AND THE INTERSECTION OF HUNTER LAKE DRIVE AT FOSTER DRIVE

North Hills Blvd:

  • Possible construction work Saturday 10/5.
  • Two-way traffic maintained at all times.
  • Please share the road with bicyclists.
  • Paving operations (demolition and repave) starting on Thursday 10/10.
  • Between Golden Valley Rd and Beckwourth Dr:
    •  Traffic is shifted using the center turn lane as a travel lane
  • Between Beckwourth Dr and Buck Dr:
    • One lane-two way traffic with flaggers.
    • The night of wednesday 10/9 – Northbound lane closure, only southbound traffic allowed.
    •  Speed limit reduced to 25 MPH and traffic will be allowed on pulverized material (unpaved lane).

Hunter Lake/Foster Dr:

  • ROAD CLOSURE: Foster Dr (eastbound/westbound access) at Hunter Lake closed.  Detours in place.
  • Paving operations (demolition and repave) starting on Monday 10/7.
  • One lane closure at intersection.
  • Two-way traffic maintained at all times.
  • Traffic will be allowed on base material (unpaved lane).

 

RENO CONSOLIDATED 19-03 PROJECT – SIERRA HIGHLANDS DRIVE, COLBERT DRIVE, HAMMILL LANE, RALSTON STREET, AND OHM PLACE

Ralston St:

  • Between University Terrace and 11th St:
    • Striping Crews will be out the week of October 7th.  Traffic controls are in place along Ralston St.
  • Parking is prohibited within the Ralston St construction zones 7 am – 7 pm, Monday through Friday 10/7 thru 10/11.
  • During construction, access for trash pickup is provided on Tuesdays – place Green Waste cans out for pickup.  For street parking use nearby side streets; please adhere to the “no parking” restrictions.

Ohm Place:

  • Construction is in progress.
  • Full closure of Ohm Place the week of October 7th . Traffic controls will be in place with business detours for NV Energy offices.

Sierra Highlands:

  • Construction will begin the week of September 30 thru the end of October.  Traffic controls and flagger control will be in place on Sierra Highlands

 

VIRGINIA STREET BUS RAPID TRANSIT EXTENSION

Construction is occurring within the Midtown areas.

  • Construction is occurring on South Virginia St between Plumb Ln and Mary St/Center St:
    • Traffic will be reduced to southbound only, northbound traffic will be detoured at Regency Wy to Center St.
