CALIFORNIA AVENUE AND KEYSTONE AVENUE INTERSECTION ENHANCEMENT

The road is open with no controls.  Signal work that remains will occur later this year and may require traffic control for a short period of time.

 

LEMMON DRIVE CAPACITY IMPROVEMENT
RTC Project Manager, Dale Keller, P.E. – (775) 335-1827

Exploratory work under the roadway in preparation for potential future roadway construction that will improve safety and mobility on Lemmon Drive.

  • Tuesday 11/12 – Friday 11/22 (8:30 am to 4:00 pm): Intermittent lane closures on Lemmon Drive between US 395 and Military Road. Two-way traffic will remain in place.
  • Monday 11/18 – Early December (8:30am to 4:00 pm): Intermittent lane closures on Lemmon drive between Fleetwood Drive and Chickadee Drive. Flaggers will direct two-way traffic.

 

NORTH VALLEYS 3 INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT

  • New traffic signal at the intersection of N Virginia Street and Lemmon Drive.
  • 11/25 – 12/6: occasional lane closure for signal equipment installation

 

RENO CONSOLIDATED 19-02 – NORTH HILLS BOULEVARD FROM GOLDEN VALLEY ROAD TO BUCK DRIVE AND THE INTERSECTION OF HUNTER LAKE DRIVE AT FOSTER DRIVE

Road work on North Hills Boulevard and Hunter Lake/Foster Drive is complete.  The roads are open with no restrictions.

 

RENO CONSOLIDATED 19-03 – SIERRA HIGHLANDS DRIVE, COLBERT DRIVE, HAMMILL LANE, RALSTON STREET, AND OHM PLACE

Ohm Place: roadwork is complete. Intermittent traffic controls will be in place for punch list work. Flaggers may be present.

Ralston Street: roadwork is complete.

Sierra Highlands: roadwork is substantially complete. Intermittent traffic controls will be in place for utility adjustment and punch list work. Flaggers may be present.

Hammil Lane and Colbert Drive: roadwork is complete.

 

VIRGINIA STREET BUS RAPID TRANSIT EXTENSION

Roadway closures will be in place for construction of the roundabout at the intersections of Virginia Street and Center Street/Mary Street. Businesses will always remain accessible.

Virginia Street:

  • Mt Rose St/Holcomb Ave to Center St – traffic is reduced to southbound direction only. Traffic control will shift lanes throughout this section of Virginia St.
  • Northbound through traffic is detoured at Holcomb Ave to Center St to Liberty St. Drivers can also use Mt Rose Street to northbound Haskell St to Martin St to Virginia St. Two-way traffic is available north of Center St.
  • Northbound traffic with the final destination within the construction zone can utilize one of the many side streets from Holcomb Ave, Lake St, or Haskell St, which include:
    • Continental Dr, Regency Wy, Walts Ln, Mt Rose St, Pueblo St, Arroyo St, Caliente St, Vassar St, Martin St, Taylor St, Cheney St, St Lawrence Ave, Moran St, and Stewart St.

Center Street and Mary Street at Virginia Street:

  • ROAD CLOSURE: Work in this area will require closure of either Center St or Mary St at Virginia St. During limited instances both streets may be closed at the same time.
  • Detours will be in place.
