RENO CONSOLIDATED 19-01 PROJECT
RTC Project Manager, Judy Tortelli, P.E. – (775) 335-1824

3/16 – 4/20
The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is beginning the reconstruction of the segment of Sutro Street between Selmi Drive and North McCarran Boulevard on March 16, 2020. The reconstruction is expected to take about 5 weeks to complete. The RTC will be replacing the roadway, sidewalks, curbs and gutters.

Drivers can expect detours during the construction process, for everyone’s safety:

  • March 16 – 27: Sutro Street between Selmi Drive and North McCarran Boulevard will be open to southbound-only traffic. Drivers going northbound will be detoured to Clear Acre Lane to Selmi Street. Drivers will still be able to exit from the Maverik gas station onto Sutro Street.
  • March 30 – April 17: Sutro Street between Selmi Drive and North McCarran Boulevard will be closed to traffic. Drivers will be detoured to Clear Acre Lane and Selmi Street. Drivers will still be able to exit from the Maverik gas station onto Sutro Street.

The RTC appreciates the community’s patience during the construction process and reminds the community that the roadway will be smoother and safer when the improvements are complete. This project is part of a larger project, called Reno Consolidated 19-01, which represents a $4.3 million investment in our community funded with fuel tax funds.
