BUS STOP IMPROVEMENT & CONNECTIVITY PROGRAM – PHASE 4

Weather permiting, lane and shoulder closures may be in place on North Virginia Street at Talus Way and Parr Boulevard; and on Glendale Avenue at Marietta Way.

INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS (ITS) PHASE 4 PROJECT

ODDIE/WELLS PROJECT – PYRAMID WAY (SPARKS) TO I-80 WESTBOUND RAMPS (RENO)

Phase 1 – Pyramid Way to Sullivan Lane (Sparks):

  • One traffic lane in each direction will be maintained along Oddie Boulevard
  • Construction crews working on installing steel tube fence, signal work and grade planters (weather permitting)

Phase 2 & 3 – Sullivan Lane (Sparks) to Sutro Street (Reno):

  • Shoulder and lane closures during construction working hours
  • One traffic lane in each direction will be maintained along Oddie Boulevard
  • Construction crews working on installing underground light conduit, retaining wall, signals and fence removals (weather permitting)
  • Mall Drive access closed until June – Detours to shopping center through Silverada and El Rancho accesses partially open (right-in/right-out) when feasible
  • Starting Friday, March 17, 2023 (weather permitting) – new traffic pattern – travel lanes (one in each direction) shifted to the south side of Oddie Boulevard from Suillivan Road to east of US-395 ramps

SPARKS BOULEVARD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT – SOUTH PHASE

Installation of illuminated street signs will resume in April.

TE SPOT 10 – SOUTH PROJECT (ROUNDABOUT INSTALLATION AT WOODLAND AVENUE/4TH STREET)

This project that includes the construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of 4th Street and Woodland Avenue began last fall. There is no construction occurring at this time. Due to continued winter weather conditions, the underground utility relocation work and the construction of a retaining wall below Mesa Park Road will now resume in late March, weather permitting. The construction of the roundabout will begin this spring. Please observe all traffic control, work zone speed limits and flaggers when construction is occurring.
