E PRATER WAY REHABILITATION PROJECT
RTC Project Manager, Judy Tortelli, P.E. – (775) 335-1824

4/20 – 10/1

The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County begins construction on a roadway rehabilitation project on East Prater Way between McCarran Boulevard and Sparks Boulevard. Two-way traffic will continue within the construction zone, with one lane in each direction. The project is expected to take about six months to complete. See attached Project Location Map by clicking here.

  • April 20 – June 19: The first phase of construction, expected to take about three months, will shift traffic to the south side of Prater Way. Signalized intersections at Howard Drive and Pullman Drive will remain open, but some side streets, including Woodside Drive, Marracco Drive, East Greenbrae Drive and Station Street will be closed to traffic at Prater Way. Traffic from side streets will be detoured to Howard Drive or Pullman Drive.

The RTC appreciates the community’s patience during the construction process and reminds the community that the roadway will be smoother and safer when the improvements are complete. This project represents a $5.6-million investment in our community funded with fuel tax funds.

Construction has been classified as an essential service by Governor Sisolak. Construction crews have implemented safety and social-distancing precautions.
