GREG STREET REHABILITATION

Construction is in progress on Greg Street between McCarran Boulevard and the railroad tracks. The reconstruction is expected to be completed by mid-August 2020.

Traffic is reduced to one-lane in each direction between Spice Island Drive and railroad tracks during the hours of 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

LAKESIDE DRIVE REHABILITATION

Construction is in progress on Lakeside Drive between Evans Creek Drive and McCarran Boulevard.  Work is expected to be substantially complete by the end of September 2020.

 

PARK LANE RAPID STATION PROJECT

Work includes construction of a new Bus RAPID Station on the east side of Virginia Street just south of Plumb Lane. Construction is scheduled to begin July 27, 2020, with substantial completion scheduled for the middle of October 2020.

 

E PRATER WAY REHABILITATION

Construction is in progress on E Prater Way between McCarran Boulevard and Sparks Boulevard. The project is expected to take about six months to complete.

Two-way traffic will continue within the construction zone, with one lane in each direction.

The RTC appreciates the community’s patience during the construction process.

 

SUN VALLEY BOULEVARD MULTI-MODAL IMPROVEMENTS – PHASE 1: 7TH AVE TO HIGHLAND RANCH PKWY

Construction is in progress: ADA Ramps, Curb & Gutter, Sidewalk and Drainage improvements.

  • Intermittent shoulder closure at various intersections.
  • One lane closure, two-way traffic maintained.  Expect delays.
  • Construction work on the east side of Sun Valley Boulevard.

 

VIRGINIA STREET BUS RAPID TRANSIT EXTENSION

South Virginia Street:

  • Plumb Lane to Center Street: two-way traffic with isolated shoulder and street parking closures to install project appurtenances.
  • Center Street to Liberty Street: traffic is reduced to southbound direction only.
    • Northbound through traffic is detoured at Center Street to Liberty Street.
    • Northbound traffic can also use Mt Rose Street to Plumas Street to Liberty Street.
  • Travelers with the final destination within the construction zone can utilize one of the many side streets from Holcomb Avenue, Center Street, Plumas Street, or Haskell Street; which include:
    • La Rue Avenue, Martin Street, Taylor Street, Cheney Street, St Lawrence Avenue, Thoma Street, California Street, Moran Street, and Stewart Street.

North Virginia Street:

  • Maple Street to 8th Street: North Virginia Street is closed.
    • Detours are in place. Southbound detour is to Sierra Street, northbound detour is to Center Street.
  • West Stadium Parking Garage to Sierra Street: traffic is reduced to northbound direction only.
    • Southbound traffic is detoured to Sierra Street and 15th Street.
  • West Stadium Parking Garage to 8th Street: traffic is reduced to one-lane in each direction.
  • 8th Street: northern shoulder is closed between the I-80 off ramp and North Virginia Street.
