GREG STREET REHABILITATION PROJECT

Construction is in progress on Greg Street between McCarran Blvd and the railroad tracks. The reconstruction is expected to be completed by mid-August.

Starting on Monday, July 20th, traffic is reduced to one-lane in each direction between Spice Island Drive and railroad tracks during the hours of 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM

LAKESIDE DRIVE REHABILITATION PROJECT
RTC Project Manager, Warren Call, P.E. – (775)335-1881

 Construction is scheduled to start on Lakeside Drive between Evans Creek Drive and McCarran Blvd. on Monday, 7/20/20. This will be a roadway reconstruction, some curb/gutter and driveway replacements, and ADA pedestrian ramp improvements.   This is a 50 working day contract and should be substantially complete the end of September 2020.

 

PARK LANE RAPID STATION PROJECT

This will be the construction of a new Bus RAPID Station on the east side of Viginia Street just south of Plumb Lane. Construction is scheduled to start 7/27/20 and a 60 day working day contract with substantial completion scheduled for the first of October 2020.

 

E PRATER WAY REHABILITATION

Construction in progress on E Prater Way between McCarran Blvd and Sparks Blvd. The project is expected to take about six months to complete.

Two-way traffic continues within the construction zone, with one lane in each direction.

The RTC appreciates the community’s patience during the construction process.

 

SUN VALLEY BOULEVARD MULTI-MODAL IMPROVEMENTS – PHASE 1: 7TH AVE TO HIGHLAND RANCH PKWY

Construction in progress: ADA Ramps, Curb&Gutter, Sidewalk and Drainage improvements.

  • Intermittent shoulder closure and one lane closure, two way traffic maintained. Expect delays.
  • Middle Fork to Leon Dr – ROAD CLOSURE: 7/20 – 7/24
    • DETOUR:  Northbound traffic along Sun Valley Blvd will be detoured to take the right at Middle Fork, left at Smokey Canyon, left at Leon and finally right on Sun Valley Blvd to continue north.
    • DETOUR: Southbound traffic will take the right at Leon Dr, left at Middle Fork Dr, left at Amargosa, left at Middle Fork Dr and finally right at Sun Valley Blvd to continue south.

 

VIRGINIA STREET BUS RAPID TRANSIT EXTENSION

South Virginia Street:

  • Plumb Ln to CenterSt: two-way traffic with isolated shoulder and street parking closures to install project appurtenances.
  • Center St to Liberty St: traffic is reduced to southbound direction only.
    • Northbound through traffic is detoured at Center St to Liberty St.
    • Northbound traffic can also use Mt Rose St to Plumas St to Liberty St.
  • Travelers with the final destination within the construction zone can utilize one of the many side streets from Holcomb Ave, Center St, Plumas St, or Haskell St; which include:
    • La Rue Ave, Martin St, Taylor St, Cheney St, St Lawrence Ave, Thoma St, California St, Moran St, and Stewart St.

North Virginia Street:

  • Maple Street to 8th Street: North Virginia Street is closed.
    • Detours are in place. Southbound detour is to Sierra St, northbound detour is to Center St.
  • West Stadium Parking Garage to Serra Street: traffic is reduced to northbound direction only.
    • Southbound traffic is detoured to Searra St and 15th St.
  • West Stadium Parking Garage to 8th Street: traffic is reduced to one-lane in each direction.
  • 8th Street: northern shoulder is closed between the I-80 off ramp and North Virginia St.
