CALIFORNIA AVENUE AND KEYSTONE AVENUE INTERSECTION ENHANCEMENT
From Newlands Circle to Booth Street

Starting July 11, 2019, at 6:00 a.m. through August 8, 2019:

  • California Ave/Keystone Ave Intersection will be closed to traffic in both directions in the construction zone.
  •  Booth St will be open to traffic between Westfield Ave and Idlewild Dr for paving operations.  Business access off  Booth St will be provided between   California Ave and Westfield  Ave during this same time period.
  •  Keystone Ave will also remain closed to northbound traffic from Booth St to Riverside Dr.
  • Keystone Ave will not be accessible from California Ave.

Detours will be in place during construction. For safety reasons, there is no pedestrian access through California Ave from Newlands Cir to Booth St during construction.
In early August the California Ave/Keystone Ave intersection will reopen before Reno High School is back in session.

 

SPARKS CONSOLIDATED 19-01 – 15TH STREET, FRANKLIN WAY, HULDA COURT, AND EL RANCHO DRIVE

Starting July 15, 2019, at 7:00 a.m. through July 19, 2019:

  • 15th Str from Victorian Ave to Prater Wy will be open to traffic in both directions in the construction zone.  Construction crews will be working on the east side concrete improvements.
  • El Rancho Dr from G St to Oddie Blvd will be open to traffic in both directions. Traffic lanes will be reduced to one-lane in each direction and moved over to west half of the roadway for construction of concrete improvements on the east side.
  • Traffic on Franklin Wy from Greg St to the Railroad Tracks will not be impacted.
  • Hulda Ct traffic will not be impacted.

Pedestrian detours will be in place during construction.  El Rancho Dr pedestrian detour will be from Oddie Blvd into Paradise Park, down to Elementary Dr, and south to G St using existing sidewalk on the west side El Rancho Dr.  For safety reasons, there is no pedestrian access on the east side of El Rancho Dr from G St to Oddie Blvd during construction.

 

VIRGINIA STREET BUS RAPID TRANSIT EXTENSION
Construction is occurring from Plumb Ln through Mt Rose St and on select side streets within the Midtown areas.

  • Between Plumb Ln and Mt Rose St traffic will be reduced to southbound only, northbound traffic will be detoured at Wells Ave to Vassar St.
  • The following side streets are also under construction and closed to through traffic, local access is provided:
    • Tahoe/Saint Lawrence (between Virginia St and Forest St)
    • Moran (between Virginia St and Center St)
    • East Taylor (between Virginia St and Center St)
    • Martin (between Virginia St and Haskell St)
    • Caliente (between Virginia St and Haskell St)
