NORTH VALLEYS 3 INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT

Occasional lane closure for signal equipment installation for a new traffic signal at the intersection of N Virginia Street and Lemmon Drive.

Traffic signal activation tentatively scheduled for 12/30/19.

Construction of new traffic signal at Evans Avenue and Enterprise Road, possible lane and shoulder closures.

Red Rock Road at Silver Lake Boulevard Traffic Signal Installation
• Traffic Control in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout December.
• Eastbound, westbound, southbound traffic lanes will be reduced to one lane for underground utility work.
• Expect flagger operation through the project for equipment and materials moving throughout the project.

 

VIRGINIA STREET BUS RAPID TRANSIT EXTENSION

Virginia Street:

  • Mt Rose St/Holcomb Ave to Martin St – traffic is reduced to southbound direction only. Traffic control will shift lanes throughout this section of Virginia St.
  • Northbound through traffic is detoured at Holcomb Ave to Center St to Liberty St. Drivers can also use Mt Rose Street to northbound Haskell St to Martin St to Virginia St. Two-way traffic is available north of Martin St.
  • Northbound traffic with the final destination within the construction zone can utilize one of the many side streets from Holcomb Ave or Haskell St, which include:
    • Pueblo St, Arroyo St, Caliente St, Vassar St, Taylor St, Cheney St, St Lawrence Ave, Moran St, and Stewart St.

Starting in early 2020, traffic control will extend northward from Martin St towards Liberty St.

Center Street and Mary Street at Virginia Street:

  • ROAD CLOSURE: Work in this area will require closure of either Center St or Mary St at Virginia St. During limited instances both streets may be closed at the same time.
  • Detours will be in place.
