The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is almost finished with the reconstruction of the segment of Sutro Street between Selmi Drive and North McCarran Boulevard. The reconstruction includes replacing the roadway, sidewalks, curbs and gutters.

Drivers can expect detours during the construction process, for everyone’s safety:

  • April 13 – April 28: Sutro Street between Selmi Drive and North McCarran Boulevard will be closed to traffic. Drivers will be detoured to Clear Acre Lane and Selmi Street. Drivers will still be able to exit from the Maverik gas station onto Sutro Street.

The RTC appreciates the community’s patience during the construction process and reminds the community that the roadway will be smoother and safer when the improvements are complete. This project is part of a larger project, called Reno Consolidated 19-01, which represents a $4.3 million investment in our community funded with fuel tax funds.
