The RTC CENTENNIAL PLAZA began serving passengers on Sunday, October 26, 2008, when RTC RIDE service changes went into effect. It fits beautifully into its environment with local art, earth-friendly design, and community space. Blending the best of the community, the new facility honors the rich traditions of the city, its rail past, and its promising future. Eight years in the making, many hands partnered to make this new place a centerpiece of form and function. We appreciate everyone who played a role in making this possible. Dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremonies took place on Tuesday, October 21, 2008.
