The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is planning to begin the Holcomb Avenue Rehabilitation Project in spring 2023. Before the project begins, the RTC and the City of Reno are hosting a community meeting on Monday, September 26, at 6 p.m. at the Innevation Center at 450 Sinclair Street in Reno. Community members are encouraged to attend the meeting to learn more about the upcoming construction project and ask questions to project team members from the RTC and the City of Reno.
This project is part of the RTC’s annual Pavement Preservation and Rehabilitation Program. The project limits are on Holcomb Avenue between Burns Street and Liberty Street. The rehabilitation work includes, but is not limited to, rehabilitation of existing asphalt roadways, removal and replacement of selected concrete areas and non-ADA pedestrian ramps, restriping of the roadway, and reconfiguring the Holcomb Avenue/Sinclair Street intersection. The City of Reno is also proposing to modify the lane configuration to provide additional buffer for bike lanes within the project segment.
