The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is finalizing the design phase of a project to rehabilitate and/or reconstruct four sections of roadways in Reno. The RTC is holding a meeting to showcase the projects and get community input about traffic control operations on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, from 4:30 – 6 p.m. at the RTC ACCESS Facility, located at 600 A Sutro Street in Reno.
The project, called Reno Consolidated 19-01, will reconstruct and/or rehabilitate the following sections of Reno roadways:
– Sutro Street from the Truckee River Bridge to 4th Street, and from McCarran Blvd. to the northern edge.
– 1st Street from Center Street to Lake Street
– The Lake Street Bridge over the Truckee River
– State Street from Virginia Street to Sinclair Street
Construction is anticipated to begin this summer and will take approximately three months to complete. Roadway widening is not included as part of this project.
