The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is beginning a project to reconstruct two sections of roadways in Reno. The RTC is holding an open house to showcase the projects and answer questions from the community on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, from 5 – 6 p.m. at North Valleys High School, located at 1470 E. Golden Valley Road in Reno.
The project, called Reno Consolidated 19-02, will reconstruct and/or rehabilitate the following sections of Reno roadways:
- North Hills Boulevard from Lemmon Drive to Golden Valley Road
- Hunter Lake Drive/Foster Drive intersection
Construction is anticipated to begin on August 5, 2019 on North Hills Boulevard, and shortly thereafter on the Hunter Lake Drive/Foster Drive intersection. Construction on both roadways will take approximately three months to complete.
While there are no road closures at this time, drivers can expect to see cones and lane shifts in these areas during construction for the safety of construction crews and the public. Road closures may be necessary as construction operations progress.
