The Regional Transportation Commission’s (RTC) transit services will be on a Sunday-level holiday schedule on Christmas Day, Friday, December 25, and New Year’s Day, Friday, January 1. The RTC Regional Connector will not operate on either day.

RTC’s virtual and physical administrative offices and RTC Customer Service will be closed on December 25 and January 1 in observance of the holidays.

RTC transit service will be on a regular schedule on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Masks are required when taking transit and transit passengers are reminded to practice social distancing while onboard and at transit stops and stations.

New Year’s Eve FREE Safe RIDE canceled:
For the first time in 36 years the RTC is canceling its annual New Year’s Eve FREE Safe RIDE service to encourage people to stay home to celebrate. The decision was made given the current situation our community is facing with the pandemic surge happening now and to support and comply with Governor Sisolak’s statewide ‘pause’ for the safety of all Nevadans to avoid transmission of and contracting COVID-19.

Even though free service will be canceled, transit will run on a normal schedule on New Year’s Eve for essential trips.
