The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is asking for community feedback as it updates its Coordinated Human Services Public Transportation Plan (CTP). Community input will play an important part in making improvements in the network of transportation options available throughout Washoe County.
The update to the CTP will bring together Washoe County human services agencies and transportation providers to deliver efficient, coordinated services to the region’s senior citizens and persons with disabilities. This update is an opportunity to identify unmet transportation needs, reduce duplication of services, and develop a coordinated transportation system in Washoe County.
RTC, as the designated recipient for Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5310 funds, must certify that all projects are included in a locally developed, coordinated public transit-human services transportation plan developed and approved through a process that included participation by seniors, individuals with disabilities, representatives of public, private, and nonprofit transportation and human services providers, and other members of the public.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and limited restrictions on public gatherings, the community can participate by watching a brief virtual video presentation and participating in an online or printable survey using the links below.
