The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is seeking public comment regarding the draft final report of its update to the Coordinated Human Services Public Transportation Plan (CTP). This updated draft plan brings together human service agencies and transportation providers to deliver efficient, coordinated services to the region’s senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and those who are financially disadvantaged for an opportunity to identify unmet transportation needs, reduce duplication of services, and develop a coordinated transportation system for Washoe County.
The community is invited to review the draft final report and executive summary on the RTC’s website and provide comments using this link: https://www.lsctrans.com/reno-rtc. Comments will be accepted through November 30, 2020.
Community input throughout the update process has played a vital role in making improvements and recommendations regarding the network of transportation options available throughout Washoe County for seniors and persons with disabilities.
The RTC, as the designated recipient for Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5310 funds, must certify that all projects are derived from and included in a locally developed, coordinated public transit-human services transportation plan developed and approved through a process that included participation by seniors, individuals with disabilities, representatives of public, private, and nonprofit transportation and human services providers, and other members of the public.
