Authorities are investigating the vandalism of an RTC transit station. On January 23, 2019, at 10:13 a.m. an unidentified man broke a glass panel at the RTC Lincoln Line eastbound transit station near the El Rancho Drive/Prater Way intersection. The man caused more than $900 in damage.

Safety is the RTC’s top priority and the RTC is working with authorities to locate and identify the man, whose image was captured on security camera video. Anyone with information is asked to contact Sparks Police at 775-353-2428.

Additionally, the RTC has a transit watch program in place called See Something, Say Something. The program encourages everyone to work together toward safety. Always check your immediate surroundings. If you see something that might require police or security intervention, say something. You can always tell a uniformed law enforcement or security officer, or any RTC RIDE or RTC employee. If you don’t see anyone right away, you can always call 888-682-8227 for non-emergencies, or call 911 if it’s an emergency. Be sure to let whomever you speak with know what happened, where it happened, and be ready to give as many details as you can.
