The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is planning to resume paving operations on North Hills Blvd. in the North Valleys starting Thursday, October 31 through Saturday, November 2 and on Monday, November 4, weather permitting.
During paving operations, North Hills Blvd. will remain open to northbound-only traffic starting just north of the North Hills Shopping Center (near Round Table Pizza) through Buck Drive. This is the same traffic configuration that has been in place for recent construction activities.
Beckwourth Drive will be intermittently closed at North Hills Blvd. so crews can pave the intersection. The RTC is aware of school times and will work to minimize the impact on before- and after-school traffic flow.
Paving operations are temperature dependent and crews can only pave when temperatures are higher than 40 degrees. Paving will continue next week until completed. Please observe all traffic-control devices and watch for traffic flaggers at all times.
North Hills Blvd. is expected to reopen to two-way traffic in mid-November.
