The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC), the City of Reno and the City of Sparks are inviting the community to, “Don’t Drive, Arrive!” The campaign encourages people to use other modes of transportation to get to and from special events, knowing that parking is often an issue.

When you don’t drive, you spend less time in traffic and finding parking, and more time arriving refreshed and ready to enjoy special events.

It’s easy to get to special events using RTC transit, or to choose to walk, bike or use bike share. Visit DontDriveArrive.com for help getting to and from special events.

Go to rtcwashoe.com to plan your trip using schedules and the system map or use Google Transit to input your starting point and destination. Check for any detours on the transit alerts page.

To buy a transit pass, visit a pass vending machine at RTC 4TH STREET STATION or RTC CENTENNIAL PLAZA. You can also download the Token Transit app and buy your pass on your phone and get the Nextbus app to know how many minutes before your bus arrives. The apps are available for both Android and Apple smartphones.
