The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is offering service on RTC Route 7 to the Reno National Championship Air Races & Air Show. Route 7 will detour from its scheduled route to drop off and pick up Air Races fans at the Reno-Stead Airport. This detoured service is designed to be a convenient alternative to reduce traffic and avoid finding a parking space at this popular special event.
Ride Route 7 for FREE on:
- Saturday, Sept. 7 from noon-6 p.m. for the City of Reno’s Inaugural Air Races Takeoff Celebration
- Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 8 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Ride Route 7 with regular fares in effect from September 12-15:
- The detour will still be in place to take people to the Reno-Stead Airport for the event from September 12-15. Passengers will pay the standard fare or they may use their transit passes. The one-way onboard fare is $2 for adults or $1 for qualifying seniors, youth, Veterans and individuals with disabilities. Riders age 5 and under travel for free. Day Pass fares are $3 for adults or $1.50 for qualifying seniors, youth, Veterans and individuals with disabilities
