Active Transportation Plan

The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County (RTC) is undergoing an Active Transportation Plan for the Truckee Meadows to create a vision and identify measures to improve walking and biking infrastructure throughout the county. The project includes various community engagement activities to hear from residents with the goal of understanding the current conditions of walking and biking in the county and identifying needs of Washoe County residents. This plan is centered around public engagement to understand existing conditions, current needs, and community priorities. Through virtual public meetings, a survey, and interactive map, there are a variety of ways to get involved in this project. Please see the list of public engagement opportunities below!

No one knows your communities, streets, sidewalks, and bike facilities as well as you do, and we need your help to identify where issues may exist. Please use the survey and interactive map below to provide feedback on locations with safety concerns and any gaps in sidewalk or bicycle facilities.

In addition to the survey and interactive map, you are encouraged to attend the upcoming virtual public meetings for the project listed below. These are great opportunities to hear more about the project and provide your feedback to the project team directly. Recordings and materials from the public meetings will be documented and archived here for your review
