This project consists of studying and developing alternatives for the continuation of the Truckee River Shared Use Path within an approximately 2,400-foot-long segment in the southern portion of the Truckee River from John Champion Memorial Park to the east side of the US 395/IR580 overpass in Reno, Nevada.
National Environmental Protection Act review related documents have been submitted to Nevada Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration. United State Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) 408 Permit application is under review by Carson-Truckee Water Conservancy District and USACE.
Planning: July 2016 to December 2017
Preliminary Design: 2018 to 2019
Final Design: 2019 to 2020
Construction: Project construction will be coordinated with NDOT’s SBX Project.
Total Project Estimate: $1,200,000 to $1,600,000
Amount Approved: $212,754
Funding Source: RTC Fuel Tax, RTC Sales Tax, Federal Transportation Alternatives (TA) Set Aside
