This project consists of studying and developing alternatives for the continuation of the Truckee River Shared Use Path within an approximately 2,400-foot-long segment in the southern portion of the Truckee River from John Champion Memorial Park to the east side of the US 395/IR580 overpass in Reno, Nevada.
The project has been determined as a Categorical Exclusion by NDOT and FHWA. United State Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) 408 Permit application is under review by Carson-Truckee Water Conservancy District and USACE. Right of way and easement acquisition is underway.
Planning: July 2016 to December 2017
Preliminary Design: 2018 to 2019
Final Design: 2019 to 2020
Construction: Project construction will be coordinated with NDOT’s SBX Project.
Total Project Estimate: $1,200,000 to $1,600,000
Amount Approved: $212,754
Funding Source: RTC Fuel Tax, RTC Sales Tax, Federal Transportation Alternatives (TA) Set Aside
