The RTC in cooperation with the City of Sparks, Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is initiating an Environmental Assessment (EA) to evaluate and document the proposed Project’s potential impacts.
Design of the southern segment (Phase 1) of the project, between Greg Street and I-80, is advancing as an early action project and is currently projected to go into construction in 2022. Final design of this phase is nearly complete.
The project team is working on final design for the segment of the project between I-80 and Baring Boulevard (Phase 2). A draft EA has been prepared and is undergoing final reviews. Public review and comment on the EA expected in early 2022.
