PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project consists of studying and developing alternatives for the Oddie/Wells Corridor based on the findings shown in the Corridor Study performed and approved in 2013 by the RTC. This is a Complete Streets project that includes safety improvements to several modes of transportation such as sidewalks, bike lanes, comfortable and accessible public transportation stops, frequent and safe crossing opportunities, median islands, accessible pedestrian signals, curb extensions, narrower travel lanes, and more.

LATEST NEWS

Phase 1: Pyramid Way to Sullivan Lane (Sparks) construction completed by end of August 2023. Lanes open and no restrictions.

Phase 2: Sullivan Lane (Sparks) to east of US 395 ramps (Reno)

Paving was completed at the end of September 2023. NVE is completing the light installation. Landscape will be completed by June 2024. There will be intermittent lane closures.

Phase 3: US 395 ramps to Sutro Street (Reno)
Paving completed and construction continues with median work and coordination with NVE for installation of lights, along with landscape and permanent striping.

Phase 4: Sutro Street to I-80 ramps (Reno)
Roadwork started April 8, 2024, with paving expected to be completed in early May 2024. Intermittent Sutro Street/Oddie Boulevard intersection closures with detours in place. One way traffic maintained along Wells Avenue. No work during Reno Rodeo 2024 (mid June).
