The program is a multi-year effort to upgrade existing bus stops to comply with state and federal requirements, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Improvements will provide more accessible bus pads and improve connectivity to RTC RIDE bus stops
Phase 1 (12 Stops) – Completed in 2020
Phase 2 (29 Stops) – Under Construction
Phase 3 + NDOT (61 Stops) – Design 90% Complete. The process for obtaining the necessary easements is ongoing.
Phase 4 (NDOT) – Design 90% Complete. The process for obtaining the necessary easements is ongoing.
The consultant is completing final design of Phase 3. The project will be advertised for construction bids in December 2021.
Preliminary Design: Complete
Final Design: February 202 – May 2021
Construction: January – May 2022
Total Project Estimate: $2,000,000
Funding Source: RTC Fuel Tax, RTC Sales Tax
