About the Administrative Services Division

The Administrative Services department is responsible for the functional areas of Agency Services, Communications, Human Resources (HR), Information Technology (IT), and Safety and Security.

AGENCY SERVICES

Agency Services is responsible for providing administrative support to the Administrative Services, Engineering, Planning, and Public Transportation departments.  Agency Services plans, organizes, coordinates, and oversees daily office activities that help ensure each department is meeting their responsibilities.

COMMUNICATIONS

The RTC is committed to providing communication and public information about its many activities and projects. The Communications department issues press releases to media outlets on an ongoing basis. Our goal is to share information with the community in a timely and thorough manner.

Human Resources is responsible for Recruitment; Performance Management; Policy Development and Implementation; Compensation and Incentive Plans Administration; and Employee Training.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

IT is responsible for implementing and maintaining all computer hardware and software, infrastructure, telephone systems and components of the radio dispatch and ITS systems. The RTC is committed to embracing technology that will further enhance the effectiveness of the agency and improve its ability to serve the people of Washoe County.

SECURITY AND SAFETY

Security and Safety is responsible for promoting and maintaining a secure and safe environment for passengers and employees by planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating security, safety and emergency operations.
