Coordinated Human Services Public Transit Plan

Federal funding opportunities are available for capital projects and operating costs that meet the requirements under Federal Transportation Administration’s (FTA) Sections 5316 (Job Access and Reverse Commute) and 5317 (New Freedom) programs and evaluation criteria established by the RTC.

As the designated recipient for FTA funds, RTC coordinated the development of a plan with representatives of public, private, and non-profit transportation providers, human services providers, and the public actively participating. The final plan contains goals, eligibility criteria, and strategies to fund efficient and coordinated transportation services for the region's senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and those who are financially disadvantaged.
