More and more seniors use public transit than ever before. On RTC RIDE, seniors and people with disabilities make up 32% of all passenger trips. In light of today's high gas prices, riders discover that using public transit in the Truckee Meadows offers real savings and convenience. Riders born before January 1, 1950 enjoy discounted fares. Savvy seniors use public transit! RTC RIDE is safe, affordable and easy to use.

The RTC often works with the City of Reno to outreach to senior residents. Learn more about the City of Reno Senior Programs.

Free travel training is also available through the Northern Nevada Center for Independent Living. Call 775-353-3599 for more information.

For times when you are unable to travel by RTC RIDE, consider Washoe Senior Ride, a subsidized taxi transportation program.
