RTC offers a free electronic service that provides automatic email notifications when selected website information is updated. Urgent transit updates can also be sent by text message to wireless devices. You control which updates you receive through subscription preferences. The service is free.

To subscribe to MyRTC, register your email address and select the topics that interest you. Within many pages throughout the website, you will see the MyRTC logo. Click the icon to register for updates related to that specific location.

How to Change Your Subscription

You can change or cancel your subscription at any time.

Follow the link in any MyRTC email to update your subscription
Update your user profile to cancel services, change your email address, add a secondary email address, change your delivery status, add or change and account password
Click on the MyRTC logo at the top of all rtcwashoe.com pages (near the search function) to visit this page
Click on the MyRTC logo placed within many pages to request updates for that specific page

Privacy Policy

MyRTC is a service provided free of change by Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County, Nevada. Your email address will only be used to register you for email and text updates and to allow you to access your account. Wireless Alerts

MyRTC subscribers can select text messaging for Transit Alerts and Transit Detours. Generally, wireless and other short-message devices accept fewer characters (as few as 140 characters per message), so MyRTC Wireless Alerts are formatted to deliver the main message up front. Messages that exceed this character limit may be truncated by your wireless provider. Subscription items that support Wireless Alerts are designated with a 'Wireless Alerts' icon on the subscription topic page. Most wireless carriers allow for text e-mail messages, some at an additional cost. For more information on your particular device, please click here.

What is RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based format for distributing web content (such as news headlines or new content). You can use RSS to read or display recently published information. A personalized RSS feed is a single RSS feed that includes all of your updates and alerts. You can view a personalized RSS feed by clicking on the icon that appears on the Subscriber Profile page.
